What is smoke detector?

 A smoke de t ector is basically a fire protection device that automatically detects and gives a presence of smoke by some alarm or buzzer.Smoke detectors are usually housed in plastic enclosures, typically shaped like a disk.  So a smoke detector device can be used in school,colleges, homes and at other places for detecting any harmful or toxic smoke being produced and for warning people about it. Household smoke detectors, also known as smoke alarms, generally issue an audible or visual alarm from the detector itself or several detectors if there are multiple devices interlinked.
